St. John the Baptist Catholic School was founded in 1843.  Therefore, we claim the proud distinction of being the first Catholic school established in McHenry County.  For more than 160 years, many of our graduates have made significant contributions in education, business, industry, service, agriculture, and other professions while maintaining a focus on faith, family, and community life.  St. John’s continues to be a foundation of faith and remains a beacon of hope for the future.
